The Backcountry Camp 2027

$2,750.00
sold out

Four days on horseback in the shadows of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains, packing straight into camp from day one. This retreat is for the woman who has been craving something real, raw and disconnected. Three nights sleeping in shared canvas tents under the stars, no cell phone service, riding horses every day and getting a glimpse into what it’s like to pack a horse into the backcountry - all in the comfort and safety of a private ranch in Pagosa.

Choose your dates: May 28 - 31 (Friday to Monday), June 10 - 13, or June 24 - 27 (Thursday - Sunday)

You will come away from the Backcountry having learned how to use a pack saddle, to care for your horse at camp, and how to ride in varied terrain. We will climb and descend hills and weave our way through the forest, with both large and small group riding lessons. All women will be empowered to push themselves safely, and encouraged to be brave while being supported.

All meals, instruction, lodging, horses, tack and other equipment included. This is a safe and supportive retreat to learn new skills with horses who are trained in this environment. Solo or group riders are welcome. Some riding experience recommended - some riders take lessons leading up to camp.

We will host three backcountry camps in 2027. Each camp is limited to 10 women.
